The Environment

At Salford City Academy, we want our staff and students to enjoy a warm, welcoming environment.  The school has grown in pupil numbers over the past 7 years which has led to significant investment in the site to provide a comprehensive and state-of-the-art learning environment to allow our staff and students to flourish.

As part of our continuing commitment to provide health and wellbeing facilities for staff and students, you can benefit from our new Dining Room and Fitness Centre as well as outdoor spaces in the warmer months.

The Dining Room

Relax and unwind in our new multi-million-pound dining room that offers staff a grown-up space in which to enjoy their lunch.  The Dining Room menu offers a wide range of healthy and nutritious lunches and our speciality menu days are always popular with staff. 

We are Halal certified and offer a range of vegetarian options for those who prefer to go meat-free.  We look after our staff wellbeing on training days by treating the team to a two course lunch in our dining room, it is the perfect way to catch up with colleagues in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Salford City Academy Fitness Centre

Keep fit and trim in our SCA Fitness Centre which offers a 57-station gym with an extensive range of aerobic, resistance, and free weights training equipment.  With 8 TV screens and a built-in sound system, you can enjoy a fully authentic gym experience here at Salford City Academy. 

The aerobic gym equipment is completely self-propelling reducing energy usage providing our academy with a ‘greener’ fitness centre.  With a suite of spin bikes, treadmills, weight machines, and free weights the fitness centre offers something for everyone.

Open from 6am and after school, staff can hit the gym before and after work to enhance their physical and mental health.
