We aim to ensure that no job application suffers discrimination because of any of the protected characteristics.  

• Job descriptions and person specifications are regularly reviewed to ensure that they are wholly relevant to the job role in question.  

• Short listing for interview is always done blind and in the presence of at least two colleagues. There is a scoring system which involves comparative evaluation of blind applications.

All aspects of the selection process are scored objectively based on clear criteria.  

Great care will be taken to ensure that job advertisements avoid wording that may discourage groups with a particular protected characteristic from applying.
