Career Progression

The Salford City Academy Culture of Excellence creates a vibrant environment within which staff are encouraged to develop their talents and skills and take part in school initiatives that support career development.  Career development and progression is underpinned by a robust personal development (PDR) system and experienced staff are encouraged to role model and mentor new and developing staff.

Salford City Academy offers teaching, pastoral, and support staff many excellent opportunities for career progression within the school, the Salford cluster, and across the United Learning Trust.  The Salford cluster is a group of four United Learning secondary schools including Salford City Academy.  Staff have many opportunities to network and collaborate across the cluster as well as contribute to developmental projects both within the cluster and trust-wide.

Roles within United Learning Trust offer the opportunity to work with nearly 100 schools and influence wider trust policy. Roles include Subject Advisors, Curriculum Writers, Regional Directors, Business and Financial Managers, Estate Managers and more.
